St Helens Borough Council is seeking a motivated Principal Regulatory Services Compliance Officer to lead and develop our Environmental Protection team. This is a high-profile role within the Council’s Regulatory Services division, supporting the delivery of essential statutory functions that protect public health, local communities, and the environment.
As Principal Regulatory Services Compliance Officer, you will provide professional leadership across a wide range of environmental protection duties including air quality management, contaminated land, industrial pollution control, environmental permitting, statutory nuisance, acoustics and noise control, planning consultations, and complex case management. You will act as a senior technical specialist, supporting the Council in meeting its legislative responsibilities and driving forward continuous improvement in service delivery.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic environmental health professional who is passionate about public protection and committed to achieving positive outcomes for residents, businesses, and the wider borough.
