We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 Learning Support Assistant with SEND to join our specialist Butterflies ASD Provision at Thatto Heath Community Primary School.

Our Butterflies Provision supports children with autism and complex additional needs, including pupils who are non-verbal or have significant communication, sensory and learning needs.

We are seeking someone who is patient, nurturing, adaptable and passionate about making a real difference to the lives of children with SEND.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of supporting children with autism and additional needs, ideally within a specialist provision.
  • Have a good understanding of communication difficulties, sensory needs and positive behaviour support.
  • Be confident supporting children who are non-verbal, using visual communication systems and alternative approaches.
  • Support individual learning programmes, communication development, sensory activities and emotional regulation.
  • Be willing to assist with personal and intimate care where required.
  • Work effectively as part of a supportive and dedicated team.

Demonstrate kindness, patience, resilience and a genuine commitment to inclusion.
