Leisure Assistants
​​​​​​​Here at Go Active we love multi skilled individuals who are willing to support different roles within our leisure facilities helping us to meet service need and providing an efficient and professional service to the local community. In return we will support you to develop the skills you need to start a career that makes a real difference.
We recruit for a range of part time hours available across our centres as Leisure Assistants casual and permanent.
​​​​​​​Interested in a career as a Leisure Assistant but not yet qualified? Go Active run scheduled RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification course giving you the opportunity to qualify during your first 12 weeks in the role !
Swimming Instructors
​​​​​​​Our qualified swimming instructors support the local community by delivering swimming lessons and aquatic based activities across our centres. We are always interested to hear from qualified instructors who are interested in either our Swimming Instructor positions or our Dual Swimming Instructor/Leisure assistant posts. ​​​​​​
Leisure Apprenticeships
​​​​​​​If you prefer to learn by ‘doing,’ then an apprenticeship may be the right thing for you. Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to develop your skills and experience combining practical on-the-job training alongside studying and obtaining recognised work-related qualifications. The great thing is you can do an apprenticeship at any point in your career getting paid while you complete the qualification! Apprentices support key roles including lifeguard, fitness instructor, swimming instructor and sports coach.
Catering Assistants at Willowbees Cafe
Willowbees Café is an award winning team based in the Adventure Play area of our Newton-le-Willows Health & Fitness Centre. With plenty of room for kids to run around and work up an appetite, everyone is guaranteed to enjoy Willowbees! Our Catering Assistants support with the preparation and serving of food and drink to our thirsty customers, whilst keeping service areas clean.
